Borough Champions! Two Old Bexley teams participated in the Bexley Primary Mixed Kwik Cricket finals on 13 June. With over 60 schools taking part, both teams did brilliantly to qualify for this final round. The Old Bexley teams showed some impressive fielding and batting skills and their efforts certainly paid off. The B team finished 6th in Bexley and the A team were crowned Borough Champions. Congratulations go to Josh, Riley, Eddie, Darcy, Lauren, Jenson, Jamie, Ollie, Emily, Daisy, Charlie, Henry, Arjun, Edward, Debare and Shay.
The A team also competed in the Kent Schools Championship on 11 July where they finished in 7th place.
Kent Champions! After winning the Bexley Primary Cricket competition in May, the girls qualified for the Kent Schools Championship on 5 July in Canterbury. The girls played some impressive cricket and won all 4 of their matches meaning they made it to the final against St Mary's Beckenham. In the final, the girls stormed to victory making 262-0 vs 239-2. Congratulations go to Jenna, Katie, Emily, Daisy, Evie, Lauren, Leila, Mateja and Freya. This is the 6th time in 9 years that we have been crowned Kent Champions.
The gym team took part in a friendly against Hurst Primary on 22 May. The children had to carry out 2 floor exercises and 1 vault. Having only had two sessions to practice the routines before the competition, the children did really well, and Tasie, Felix and Amy all finished in 3rd. Well done to all who took part.
